Planting the Moon

Planting the Moon

20 of September, 2020

New moon - almost waxing crescent - and the second day of my menstrual cycle. I felt imbued with an energy of interiorization, of being at home, of taking care of inner things.

In my daily life as a mother, independent worker, self-knowledge seeker, taking care of cats, of being a companion to my partner, I lost sight of my plants. They had been asking for more than their routine care, which I had been postponing.

Today I put my energy in motion. Barefoot on my little balcony, I buried my hands in the dirt, dug, replanted, exchanged pots, removed dry leaves, moved things around, cut herbs to dry. I rooted myself. Earthed. Finally, as I do every month, I watered each plant with my blood, diluted in the water, so that everyone would receive some of my essences.

This process of planting my Moon... a movement that I started some time ago and that reveals me to myself with each cycle. There is such beauty in my blood, such mystery and revelation - Life, death, life. I see my the generation of my own self in my blood. There is a lot of power in collecting and observing yourself as part of the Earth and returning to it. And it provides such richness for this little sample of Nature with which I surround myself!

The results are flowers and an abundance of green that appears with every watering containing my Moon.

How about you? How do you plant yourself?
